Ridiculous lack of plowing and preparation for snow

I find it incredible that we were warned well ahead of time of the imminent snow and cold, yet AGAIN the Village seems to drop the ball.  Not only was there no salting of the streets previous to the snow dump of late, but afterward there are STILL little to no plowing on the side streets. I have spun out half a dozen times already, regardless of how slow I am going.

We had folks get into an accident on the road at the end of our driveway. We called the Village to tell them how slick is was and that they needed to close our street or salt it or do something and they just left it - so another accident occurred. It was nuts!!

I am on a street that is the last to get plowed most years. This year however plows were going up and down constantly! Even Lisle Township plows were going down our street (we are DG Township). My experience is positive this year also for what was done around town. My thought is maybe people need to consider the seriousness of the weather and realize the people who do the streets risk their lives to keep our cars on the roads. If it is too dangerous or too cold they Can't be out. Not to mention salting in the bitter cold will do nothing, cause the salt can't and won't work. OH and Kittenmalibu in the weather we had 15-20 MPH is still too fast for conditions, so have fun complaining and getting zero sympathy from many when you spin out into a tree next time!

Wow,there's an AMAZING amount of douches pin the patch, right Stacey? Fyi, I didn't even venture out until WEDNESDAY, when there had been no snow fall for days.
