$30,000 Construction Vehicle Stolen from Apartment Complex

The following incidents were reported by the Downers Grove Police Department:

Monday, Feb. 28

3:39 p.m.: A license plate was reported stolen from a delivery truck at Lindy Manufacturing, 5200 Katrina Ave. The theft  is believed to have occurred between 7 p.m. Feb. 21 and 2 p.m. Feb. 28. Police said it appeared the plate had been ripped from the frame of the truck.

Friday, March 4

6:07 p.m.: A wallet was taken from a purse inside a file cabinet drawer at Rest Haven West Nursing Home, 3450 Saratoga Ave.,  between 7:10 a.m. and 5:10 p.m. Contents of the wallet were not listed in the report.

Saturday, March 5

12:27 p.m.: A woman reported her purse, valued at $200, missing after it was left on a bar stool near the front door at Ballydoyle Irish Pub & Restaurant, 5157 Main St., between midnight and 1 a.m. The woman said the purse contained a $100 cell phone, a $200 day planner and a $250 diamond bracelet. Since there were several purses were on the bar stool, the woman thought her purse was misplaced and would be found later in the day when staff cleaned.  A fraud alert e-mail was sent to the woman around 9:30 a.m., according to the report.

10:25 p.m.: A Case 90XT Skid Steer Loader valued at $30,000 was taken from a parking lot at Residences at the Grove apartment complex, 2835 Gabriella St. Police said employees discovered the construction vehicle missing at 6:30 p.m.
