Theft from Fry's
Miguel Ramirez-Almarez, 18, Lombard, was charged with retail theft from the Fry's electronics store in Downers Grove Oct. 30. Loss prevention noticed Ramirez-Almarez pocket an iPhone case and small speaker in his jacket pocket and attempt to exit the store. He was then asked to come back into the store, and police were called.

Another Theft from Fry's
James M. Vani, 29, Lombard, was charged with retail theft from the Fry's electronics store in Downers Grove Oct. 31. Vani was observed replacing the bar code sticker on a $99 Bluetooth headset with the sticker of a $24 item. He then proceeded to purchase the item. Loss prevention notified the police and he was apprehended.
Two Men Caught Drinking at the Taxi Stand
Two men were charged Oct. 31 with drinking in public at the Main St. Depot on Warren Ave. in Downers Grove. William K. Jackson, 59, Wheaton, and Robert J. Okonski, 52, Wheaton, were both charged after police observed them drinking beer at the taxi stand.
