"Drug bust on Chicago Avenue"- So this felon was parked on the street sleeping in his car with engine running for over an hour before the residents of the area called the cops. So I would assume that no officer was patrolling that area for at least an hour, especailly at night when crime is the highest. How long would he have been there if no one called? Probably would have woken up and drove home, only to commiit more crimes in the future. Sorry but this does not sit well with me, and as long as I see cops sitting in parking lots with radar guns or looking at computers instead of patrolling the neighborhoods, I will feel this way. The village is raising our taxes more and more and I feel less safe than ever

GHP, your such an idiot. You have the same comment about police every time. I guess you got a speeding ticket by the cops and can't let it go. I believe they do all reports on computer now.

Tommy O. I admit you said it much better than me. I see DG Police all the time patrolling side streets, and yes running radar, they even got me once. But GHP makes them sound like the worst group in the world. Oh yea, when they got me I was speeding.

OK I get it now. Next time my neighbors house is burglarized I will blame myself for not checking up on it

GHP- The police need to stop every crime all day every day--I agree...Just like I'm sure every car that comes out of the wash you dry it right away....

You all replied just as I would expect cops would, with name calling and ridicule of a person trying to make a living on a low paying job. Im sure you all would also defend the Des Plaines and Schaumburg cops as well. You are all doing a great job making us feel safe, hope you make your quotas this month
