Drunk and Disorderly

Cody A. Colbert, 28, of the 7600 block of West 63rd Street, Summit, was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal trespass at Burlington Avenue and Main Street. Colbert left a beer garden at about 10:45 p.m. — he was speaking loudly and in a hostile manner toward another man with a ponytail walking in the same direction, according to a police report. Colbert's girlfriend was trying to push him away from the man, who never responded or turned towards him. "Colbert was resisting her and I heard him say, 'I'll beat that mother------'- a--,'" the report said.

Police could smell alcohol on Colbert when they asked him a few times to leave. He spoke to the officers several times, but his actual comments were redacted in the report. After they got him to sit in a chair and had a brief discussion with him, he was handcuffed and transported to the Downers Grove Police Department. He was charged and released on an I-bond with a court date to be set by the DuPage County Clerk's Office. He was given a ride home by the girlfriend, the report said.
