DUI Alcohol, Drug Arrests: Police Blotter

TUESDAY, SEPT. 24

DUI Drugs

Joey A. Benefiel, of the 1000 block of Stockton Court, Aurora, was arrested at 10:27 a.m. on 31st Street west of Highland Avenue. Benefiel was charged with DUI drugs, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. His black GMC Terrain was towed from the scene to an impound lot, according to a police report. He was released on an I-bond and has an Oct. 30 court date in Wheaton.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 21

Cannabis Possession, DUI 

Charles A. Serb, of the 7600 block of Woodward Avenue, Woodridge, was arrested at 1:50 a.m. on the 5400 block of Main Street. Serb was charged with DUI alcohol, possession of cannabis, speeding and no insurance. His silver Lexus Ls400 was towed from the scene to an impound lot, according to a police report. He was released on an I-bond and has an Oct. 30 court date in Wheaton.

FRIDAY, SEPT. 20

DUI, No License

Vismantas Danyla, of the 4200 block of Kedvale Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 11:40 p.m. on Belmont Avenue at Prairie Avenue. Danyla was charged with DUI alcohol, DUI alcohol with a BAC greater than .08, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, no valid driver's license and improper lane usage. His white Mitsubishi Galant was towed from the scene to an impound lot, according to a police report. He was released on an I-bond and has an Oct. 23 court date in Wheaton.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 19

DUI, Disobeying Traffic Device

John R. Koklys, 30, of the 11200 block of Dineff, Lemont, was arrested at 2:28 a.m. at Stonewall and Grant. Koklys was charged with DUI alcohol, disobeying a traffic control device and no rear registration plate light. His white Hyundai Elantra was towed from the scene to an impound lot, according to a police report. He was released on an I-bond and has an Oct. 16 court date in Wheaton.
