Driving Under the Influence
- Fredy Gueixpal-Velasco, 29, of the 4200 block of Forest Avenue in Downers Grove, was arrested around 1:58 a.m. in the 4900 block of Main Street, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without lights when required, no valid driver's license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was issued an Oct. 3 court date.
- Jacqueline H. Ondras, 46, of the 6500 block of Double Eagle Drive in Woodridge, was arrested around 12:20 a.m. near 75th Street and Catalpa Court, police said. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage and failure to signal. She was issued a Sept. 26 court date.
- Jimmy Aramburu, 21, of the 29w500 block of Country Ridge Drive in Warrenville, was arrested around 12:59 a.m. near Main Street and Ogden Avenue. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and improper lane usage. He was issued a Sept. 26 court date.
FRIDAY, AUG. 24
A blue, plastic children's pool was placed underneath a van in the 4700 block of Wallbank Avenue sometime between midnight and 10:30 a.m., police said. The offender used red spray paint to draw a penis on the back of the pool and its inside rim. There was no damage to the van, but the owner said his house has been vandalized three or four times over the past year.
THURSDAY, AUG. 23
Damaged Property at Rosin Eyecare
The outside walls of Rosin Eyecare, 145 Ogden Ave., were damaged sometime over the past three months, police said. The damage appeared to have been done by spray paint and rocks.
A house in the 1300 block of Turvey Road was toilet-papered around 10 p.m., police said. When the officer arrived, he found a large amount of toilet paper in several trees, as well as forks in the yard and broken eggs on the house and listed vehicles. Police also reported a package of bologna laid out in the driveway in the shape of a penis.
Car Burglary on Concord Drive
A car was burglarized in the 1400 block of Concord Drive around 2 a.m., police said. The owner of the vehicle called police after hearing his dog barking at something outside his home. He did not see anyone outside, but noticed in the morning that the key lock was punched out on the right rear door. No items were reported stolen.
