Emergency Response Drill Set for Sept. 19

Police, fire, BNSF, Metra and Good Samaritan Hospital will participate.

The Downers Grove Police Department, Downers Grove Fire Department, the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad, Metra and Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital will conduct an emergency response drill on Sept. 19 as part of their ongoing efforts to safeguard communities and employees and to test emergency prepardedness plans.

The drill will take place at 9 a.m. at the BNSF Warren Avenue yard, located at Warren and Oakwood Avenue and will simulate a train accident.  Police said the drill should be completed by 11 a.m.
