Graffiti Incidents, Surprise Return: Police Blotter

TUESDAY, APRIL 2
Car Wash Graffiti
Someone sprayed black graffiti sometime overnight in a car wash bay and on a cement block on the 1300 block of Ogden Avenue. In the wash bay was a small "G" over a large "S" and a small "D" over a large "D." Inside of the larger D was an upside down pitchfork. On the cement block were the letters "S" and "D." Inside of the D was the number 6. There were no suspects or leads at the time of this report.

Beach Bike Taken
A $135 beach cruiser-style bike was reported missing from the Main Street Train Depot on the 1000 block of Warren Avenue. The owner at about 6:45 a.m. locked the bike on the bicycle rack on the north side of the depot. When he returned from work at about 6 p.m., the bike was no longer locked up where he left it. The bike was about a year old, but make to look older with a floral, Hawaiian-style print on the bike.
Graffiti on Garage
Police at 10:47 a.m. looked into a report of grafitti in the area and found it on a two-car garage door on the 6500 block of Hathaway Lane. The owner was aware of the red spray paint and said it occurred sometime between 7 p.m. March 31 and 8 a.m. on this day. There were no suspects or leads. A brief description of the spray paint was redacted in a report provided by police.

Surprise Return Home
A family on the 5300 block of Meadow Lane returned home from a Florida vacation to find their front door damaged and two broken glass milk bottles. Police at the scene at 3:02 p.m. also noticed several items of mail scattered all over the ground and a broken ceramic sculpture. A cleaning crew that comes every Wednesday said nothing was broken on March 27. A United States Postal Service employee said there was nothing damaged on March 29 when he delivered the family's mail. The total property damage estimate was $531.
