FRIDAY, MARCH 22

Fob Found

Someone at 4 p.m. March 21 turned in a black car key fob to the Downers Grove Village Hall, 801 Burlington Ave. The fob was found in the village hall's west parking lot. An officer at 8:08 a.m. March 22 tried to find the vehicle that it belonged to by hitting the panic button, but none of the cars lit up. The officer made a call and was told that the owner of the vehicle could not be found by the serial number on the fob. The fob, valued at $200, was placed into evidence.

Kindle Crook

An unidentified man took a $179 Kindle Fire from a store on the 1500 block of Butterfield Road, an assistant manager reported. The man entered the store at about 7:43 p.m. March 20. He stood near the main entrance for about five to 10 minutes. Then he walked to the Kindle Fire display, cut the security cord from a display model and left the store without paying. The man appeared to be between the ages of 30 and 35 with brown hair and brown eyes. He wore a black jacket, blue shirt and khaki pants.

Wallet Theft

A woman thinks her wallet was stolen from inside her purse sometime on March 15 from a restaurant on the 100 block of Ogden Avenue. She noticed her wallet was missing when she received a call from her bank telling her there was suspicious activity occurring on her credit card account. She then looked quickly inside her purse and noticed her wallet was missing. The $40 black wallet had her driver's license, an insurance card, two credit cards, a debit card, a Link Card, $4 cash and $2 in coins.

SUNDAY, MARCH 17

DUI

Elizabeth I. Flippo, 24, of the 300 block of West Harding Road, Lombard, was arrested at 1:54 a.m. at Downers and Brook drives. Flippo was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, disobeying a traffic control device and driving an uninsured vehicle. Her gray Toyota Camry was towed from the scene to an impound lot. She was released on I-bond and has an April 17 court date in Wheaton.
