Man, 60, Dies after Struck by Car in Downers Grove
A Bolingbrook man was pronounced dead after being hit by a car Saturday night in Downers Grove, police said.
Preliminary investigation does not show any sign of speeding or impaired driving in the death of a pedestrian struck by a car on Main Street Saturday night.
Stephan Szela, 60, of Bolingbrook, was crossing near the 4200 block around 9:15 p.m., when hit by a car heading southbound in the curb lane. He was later pronounced dead at Good Samaritan Hospital.
The investigation is ongoing as a death investigation.
The Du Page County Coroner will make the final determination in cause of death.
