Man Arrested After Police Find Pot in Toilet Paper Roll: Police

Police were called to a Downers Grove apartment this past week after someone reported the smell of marijuana coming from the residence.

A 24-year-old Downers Grove man was arrested on Feb. 10 at 10:39 p.m. after someone reported the smell of marijuana coming from his apartment, according to Downers Grove Police Department reports.

Robert Dushku, of 4945 Douglas Road, Apt. 1S in Downers Grove, answered the door when Downers Grove Police officers responded to his apartment Monday night. Dushku allowed police into his apartment.

After asking him to relinquish any illegal narcotic, Dushku lead an officer into his bathroom where he revealed a two-inch metal smoking pipe and a small clear plastic bag of a green leafy substance that he had placed in a toilet paper roll, according to the police report.

Police said Dushku told them the substance was marijuana and that it belonged to him.

Dushku was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis under 30 grams. He was later released on bond.
