When police arrived Osowski was sitting on the window sill. There was a wet puddle under him that was running onto the sidewalk and smelled of urine, according to the report. Police observed Osowski’s pants were partly wet in the groin area and his clothing was dirty.

Osowski’s eyes were blood-shot, half opened and there was a strong odor of alcohol, police said. When officers asked Osowski if he had urinated, he could not answer due to his slurred speech. The business owner told police Osowski had not entered the store, but she wanted him to leave and would sign the complaint. Osowski needed the officers' assistance to stand so they could handcuff and search him before taking him to the station. Osowski later posted bond and was released with a pending court date.

Items taken from purse at McCollum Park

A woman’s driver’s license, $8 in cash and three credit cards were taken from her purse, which was left in her unlocked car between 4:30 p.m. and 4:50 p.m. June 27 at McCollum Park. The woman came to the police station on June 28 after her husband discovered her credit cards had been used for unauthorized purchases and she noticed the items missing from her purse.

She reported placing her purse under the front passenger seat of her car before going for a walk at the park. She realized her car was unlocked and returned to lock it within 10 minutes. Nothing seemed to be out of place in the car and she didn’t realize the items had been taken until her husband informed her of the credit card charges.

Items reported missing after hotel room was cleaned

A guest at the Red Roof Inn, 1113 Butterfield Road, reported clothing and a phone charger were taken from his room between 6:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. June 27. He returned from work to find the room had been cleaned and his belongings missing.

A check with the front desk clerk, which included a call to a maintenance employee, revealed the room had accidentally undergone a full-service cleaning and his belongings were taken to the laundry room at the hotel. The clerk said normal procedure calls for belongings to be brought to the front desk. When the man retrieved his property, a duffel bag with clothing and his phone charger were missing. He told police he needed a report to file a claim with the hotel’s corporate office.

Land Rover taken from dealership

A 2006 Land Rover valued at $33,000 was taken from a lot at Motorwerks Star Motor Sales, 1723 Ogden Ave., between 8 p.m. June 27 and 10 am. June 28. The owner told police one set of keys to the car were discovered missing on June 26, but no employees were suspected and no suspicious-looking people had been seen at the dealership. Police believe the car was driven over the parkway to exit the lot.

Car keyed while owner dashes into store

A man reported his car was keyed, causing $150 in damage, while he was in a store in the 2500 block of Ogden Avenue between 12:30 p.m. and 12:35 p.m. June 28. Police said there was a large scratch on the driver’s side of the car. A witness reported seeing two juveniles near the front of the store, but also stated he didn’t see them do anything to the car.

Smash and grab in gym parking lot

A car window was smashed and a wallet taken in the parking lot near Woman’s Workout World,  2133 63rd St., between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. June 28. A woman returning to her car from the gym discovered the passenger side window broken and her wallet missing from between the two front seats. She said the doors remained locked, a towel and shirt covering the wallet were still folded, and nothing else in the car appeared disturbed.

Police said it appeared someone smashed the window and reached into the car because hanging glass on the door indicated the door had not been opened or closed. The $80 wallet contained a driver’s license, four credit cards, a bank card and two gift cards valued at $70. Damage to the window was estimated at $100.
