Man Headbutts Teenager After Teen Yells Obscenities at Him

Aggravated battery, consumption of alcohol by a minor among reports.

The following incidents and arrests were reported by the Downers Grove Police Department:

Battery

Gary Mikyska, 48, of 712 Grant Street in Downers Grove, was charged with battery on April 23 after headbutting a teenager near Chicago and Sherwood. A witness said a group of teens were yelling vulgar things at Mikyska as he drove past, and Mikyska stopped his car, got out, and ultimately headbutted one of the teens before returning to his car.

Aggravated Battery

A 15-year-old boy was charged with two counts of aggravated battery after punching a a fellow student in the face after school at South High on April 17, fracturing the other student's jaw and giving him a concussion.

Disorderly Conduct

A 42 year old father of a club soccer player was told by police not to have any further contact with a couple of the other soccer players after asking one of the kids on April 10 at Doerhoefer Park how much money it would cost for the kid to punch a fellow teammate in the face.The kid told his parents and the police were ultimately called. The man said he was extremely sorry and he meant it as a joke.

Possession of Cannabis

Ahmad Willingham, 19, of 234 Stanford in Romeoville, was charged with possession of cannabis after being pulled over by police for driving 52 mph in a 35 mph zone on April 18. At one point while pulled over, Willingham put his car in gear and took off, requiring officers to chase him. He was found getting out of his car near Prentiss and Woodward shortly after. Willingham was also cited for driving without insurance and having a defective windshield.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor

Carolyn Feurich, 18, of 37 W. 56th Place in Westmont, was charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor after drinking rum prior to showing up for school at North High on April 18.
