Man Points Taser At Woman's Car in Parking Lot

Downers Grove police are searching for a man who pointed a Taser gun at a woman’s car in a shopping center parking lot, reports said.

A woman told police she was sitting in her car in the Dollar Tree parking lot at 1330 Butterfield Road around 8:41 p.m. June 25, when a man approached her car.

When the woman’s dog began barking, the man went to the trunk of his white vehicle, possibly a Ford, and pulled out a Taser gun and baseball bat.

The man turned on the Taser and activated the spark while holding the bat in his other hand.

Police said he did not approach the woman’s car again or make any statements. The woman said the man got into his car and drove off.

He was last seen heading westbound through the parking lot.

Officers searched the area for the man but could not find him.

The subject is described as tall, male black, approximately 40 years old, wearing a black and white jacket, and jeans.
