Man Punched During Attempted Robbery on Main Street

Two assailants approached the man from an alley before asking for his belongings, police said.

Two men punched and attempted to rob a man who was walking on the 5100 block of Main Street around 10:30 p.m. July 26, said.

The victim was walking northbound on the east side of Main Street when two men stepped from an alley and demanded he give them everything he had on him, police said.

One of the assailants punched the man above his eye, cutting his eyebrow, police said. The offenders ran away through the alley without taking anything from the victim, who did not report the incident to police until July 31.

One suspect is described as a black male in his late teens or early 20s, about 5-foot, 9-inches to 5-foot, 10-inches tall, and with a slight build. The other suspect was also described as a black male in his late teens or early 20s who is 6-foot to 6-foot, 2-inches tall with a muscular build.
