MONDAY, JULY 16

Teen Falls off Skateboard, Charged with Paraphernalia Possession

A 17-year-old teen was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after an officer said he caught the teen throwing a glass pipe into the parking lot of BP on Belmont and Maple. The officer saw him fall on his skateboard and was attempting to give the teen gauze for his wounds and retrieve his skateboard when he said the teen tried to ditch the pipe.

Wig Stolen During Party

A wig, vacuum cleaner and one shoe were stolen from outside of an apartment door sometime overnight. The victim told police about the party, and when police spoke to the tenant who held the party, they said the vacuum cleaner was in his apartment. The tenant said he didn't take the vacuum and that it was in his apartment the morning after the party. He told police he'd call some of the people at the party and attempt to find the other items, which he did.

SATURDAY, JULY 14

Slushy Machine Stolen from Driveway

A $2,500 slushy machine was stolen from the driveway of a house in the 1100 block of Adelia sometime overnight. The owner said the machine weighs 200 pounds and was left outside until her son was able to clean it and move it into the garage.

THURSDAY, JULY 12

Car Door Kicked In During Road Rage Altercation

A victim had the front passenger's door of his car kicked in by another driver during a road-rage incident. The victim told police the man driving the car behind him was outraged over his slow driving while he was on his cellphone and drove around in front of the victim, forcing him to stop his car in the 400 block of Maple. The driver of the other car got out, began swearing and threatened to beat up the victim before kicking his car door and driving off. The victim described the driver as a short white male with tattoos on both arms and driving a black car. Damage was estimated at $500.
