Police Blotter: Man Calls Cops on Party, Gets Arrested

SUNDAY, JULY 22

Father and Child Followed, Threatened

A father out with his child playing a GPS tracking game told police they were followed and confronted by the driver of a black sports car after leaving a business where the game's item was located. The man told police the item they tracked was located behind the Kennedy Webster Electric building at 5225 Walnut. After getting the item, they and were left followed by a black sports car the man had previously seen parked in the lot. The driver of the sports car was filming the man with his cell phone and pulled alongside the man and yelled at him to “stay off the property and don't ever litter again” or he'd call police. The man told police the only littering they did was spitting sunflower seeds out on the ground. Police were unable to locate the black sports car, possibly a Ferrari. The driver of the sports car was described as being a white male in this 30s with a goatee.

Four Arrested, Charged in Hotel Party

 Charles Anders, 26, 606 Steward St., Steward, IL and Margarite Hernandez, 23, 1300 Crab Apple Ct., Naperville were charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor stemming from a party thrown in a room at the Red Roof Inn, 1113 Butterfield. Anders had called police because he thought his 15-year-old brother might be in trouble at the party because two girls there were vying for his attention and it made Anders uncomfortable because his brother was 15. Police arrived at Red Roof Inn with Anders and found the two girls and Anders' brother asleep in the room. Additionally, the brother was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor and Mackenzie Hernandez, 19, of 1300 Crab Apple Ct., Naperville, was charged with underage consumption.

Men Charged with Urinating in Public

  • Ronald Sechel, 53, of Liberty Street in Wheaton, was charged with disorderly conduct after an officer saw a man urinating under the pavilion at Hummer Park. The police report said an open porta-potty was roughly 10 feet away from where the incident occurred.
  • Luis Guillermo Rexach, 66, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, was charged with disorderly conduct in connection with an incident on the front lawn of a residence in the 1700 block of Whidden.

Bike, Tools Stolen from Yard

A BMX bike and various tools were stolen from the back yard of a residence in the 5400 block of Florence around 12:45 a.m.. The combined valued of the bike and tools was estimated at $1,800.

MONDAY, JULY 16

Spare Tires Stolen from Auto Dealership

Eighteen spare tires valued at $7,950 were stolen from new and used cars inside of the Packey Webb Ford lot, 2150 Ogden Ave., sometime between July 16 and July 18. The cars were parked in various places throughout the lot.
