Downers Grove police reports, Nov. 8-9

FRIDAY, Nov. 8

Theft From Fry's

Daniel S. Pierce, 21, Hillside, was charged with retail theft Nov. 8 from the Fry's electronics store, 3300 Finley Road, Downers Grove. Loss prevention noticed him removing the package from several memory cards and other items and placing them into his back pocket and hooded sweatshirt. He was detained while trying to leave the store.

Unlawful Entry Into Vehicle

The owners of a 2002 Jeep Cherokee stated he saw someone in his vehicle parked at his home Nov. 8 in the 800 block of Ogden Ave., Downers Grove. He saw a man rummaging around in his vehicle as he looked out the window of his home. Nothing was taken and no sign of forced entry was found.

SATURDAY, Nov. 9

Iphone Lost at Fry's

A man reportedly lost his Iphone Nov. 9 at the Fry's electronics store, 3300 Finley Road, Downers Grove. He said it may have fallen out of his pocket and he was unable to locate it at the store.

Damage to Mercedes Reported

It was reported that a 2000 Mercedes had its back window broken by a rock the night of Nov. 9 in the 1100 block of 61st St., Downers Grove. Nothing was missing from the vehicle.
