SATURDAY, Nov. 17

Driving with a Doobie

Moira T. Koppe, 27, Berwyn was charged Nov. 17 with driving with an expired license and possession of cannabis after police pulled her over in the 900 block of 55th St. in Downers Grove. Police ran a check on her vehicle which indicated that Koppe had an expired license. She was pulled over and arrested and a joint was found in the pocket of her purse.

FRIDAY, Nov. 16

Burglary of Wheels

It was reported that two front wheels and tires were stolen Nov. 16 from a work vehicle parked at the Downers Grove sanitary district, 5006 Walnut Ave., Downers Grove. Another work truck also had its rear box forced open, and a tool used to open water mains was stolen.

THURSDAY, Nov. 15

Criminal Trespass to Property

It was reported Nov. 15 that someone entered a residence without permission in the 5700 block of Lyman Ave., Downers Grove. The son was reported to be home alone when he heard a noise like the side door of his house opening. He investigated the mud room, and saw a white male teenager with dark hair standing in the room. The teenager didn't say anything, but then ran out of the house. Nothing was reported missing.
