Police: Burglar Stole Signed Jerseys, Golf Clubs from Apartment

The stolen items were valued at $3,160, according to Downers Grove Police.

A Downers Grove man told police someone broke into his apartment over the summer and stole several signed football jerseys, numerous golf clubs, a football throw blanket and a bowling ball.

The Downers Grove Police Department received the report on Jan. 24 at 2:32 p.m. The burglary occurred at an apartment at 1122 Gilbert, according to police. 

The resident told police he didn't realize the items were missing until September when he went looking for one of the items, which was kept in the closet, and realized that it, and the other items, were missing.

The stolen items included a Scotty Cameron putter, valued at $500; a Green Bay Packers Brett Favre jersey, valued at $500; a Green Bay Packers Aaron Rodgers football jersey, valued at $250; and a yellow-dot bowling ball, valued at $100, according to a Downers Grove Police Department report. In total, the items stolen were valued at $3,160.

The resident told police the burglary occurred while he was out of state over the summer.
