UPDATE: Missing Good Sam Patient Found Safe in Downers Grove

Downers Grove police have located the 25-year-old patient from Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital who went missing early Friday morning.

Michael E. Emery was found safe near 41st Street and Fairview Avenue around 3 p.m. after police received a tip from a resident, officials said.

Authorities had been searching for Emery since 1:18 a.m., when he left the hospital on foot. The investigation included an aerial search by a Chicago Police Department helicopter.

No further information was available on Emery's condition, or why he left the hospital.

Downers Grove police are searching for a 25-year-old old man who went missing from Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital early Friday morning.

Michael E. Emery as last seen leaving the hospital, 6840 Main St., around 1:18 a.m. on foot, police said. He was a patient, and was wearing a hospital gown with no shoes.

He was last seen in the Lyman Woods area, near 37th Street and Woodland Lane, police said.

Emery is 6 feet tall, 165 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes, according to police. His medical condition is unknown, so police are seeking to verify his well-being.

Anyone with information on Emery's whereabouts or condition should contact the Downers Grove Police Department immediately by calling 911.
