Python Snake Stolen from Pet Shop

Battery, disorderly conduct among reports.

The following incidents and arrests were reported by the Downers Grove Police Department:

Retail Theft

A python snake was stolen from a snake tank at Petco on 75th street around 3:30 p.m. on January 28. When reviewing the video, a man and woman were seen entering the store and putting a dead snake inside of the case before removing a live one and putting it in the man's pocket.

Nicole Lombardo, 18 of 1N636 Newton Ave in Glen Ellyn, was charged with retail theft after attempting to hide an article of clothing under her sweatshirt without paying for it at Kohls on January 26.

Battery

Wendy Setzer, 41 of 432 Lincoln in Aurora, was charged with two counts of battery after hitting a nurse at Good Sam hospital in the chest with an open hand on January 26.

A girl smacked another girl inside one of the Forest Hill apartments after school on January 27.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor

A student at DGN was charged with one count of consumption of alcohol by a minor after showing up to school under the influence of alcohol on January 25.

Telephone Threat

A patient at Good Sam hospital left a threatening voice message directed at two nurses and the office manager on January 18.

Criminal Damage to Property

The driver's side mirror of a car parked in the 6900 block of Parkview was broken sometime on January 29. A nearby planter may have been the object used to damage the vehicle.

A male ripped a paper towel dispenser from the bathroom wall inside Rita's American Roadhouse on January 28 and threw it into a toilet. The complainant attempted to talk to the man outside but the man got into a car and left.

Disorderly Conduct—Other

An intoxicated male came into 63rd Street Billiards early on January 29 and attempted to elbow an employee when asked to leave. The male also threw a pool cue at someone in the business.

An agitated man entered Omega Restaurant on Ogden in the evening of January 28 and began demanding money or a check.

A disheveled and “out-of-sorts” male entered a business in the 2700 block of Maple on January 26 and made sexual comments to the staff before walking out.

Theft Under $500

A member of PADS at St. Mary's on Douglas had clothing, gift cards and cash stolen from her while she went to the bathroom. She came back from the bathroom and other PADS members were going through her stuff. She confronted them and they put the stuff down and left, but she later noticed not everything was returned to her.

Malicious Mischief

Alexander Porcaro, 19 of 1164 Tupelo Drive in Naperville, was charged with malicious mischief after officers conducted a traffic stop because of bright green laser beam emitting from the inside of the car that distracted the officer as he drove past Porcaro.

Illegal Dumping

An unknown offender left six full trash bags filled with garbage on the top level of a parking deck in the 3100 block of Woodcreek on January 24.
