Officers on patrol noticed a car with fogged windows parked on the top floor of the deck and went to the passenger side to talk with the occupants. One of the officers noticed Nwokobia had her shirt off and asked her to get dressed, according to the report. Nwokobia and her male companion refused to provide identification, stating the officers were violating their rights. After putting her shirt back on, Nwokobia exited the car, still refusing to provide identification. Nwokobia got back into her car, but an officer prevented her from shutting the door, asking for her identification again and informing her she was obstructing justice. Nwokobia asked to find her purse, but could not produce identification.

Officers obtained her name and discovered a warrant from DuPage County. Nwokobia denied the warrant and attempted to step away from the officers, police said. She was asked to place her hands behind her back and began swearing at officers as she tried to get back into the car. Officers eventually handcuffed Nwokobia and, after repeated requests, got her into the squad car.  She was released after posting bond on the warrant.

Saturday, Feb. 26

10:37 p.m. Giovanni L. Young, 18, of Westmont was charged with obstructing identification and unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor after police were called to the Tivoli Bowl, 938 Warren Ave., on a report that Young refused to leave the premises.

An employee told police Young had been in the bowling alley for 30 or 40 minutes and was asked twice to leave after customers complained of his behavior. Police said they informed Young that management wanted him to leave and Young responded with vulgarities, stating he was playing pool, getting drunk like everyone else and trying to make money.

Police asked Young for identification several times and each time Young responded with a different name, finally telling police he was 18, but didn’t have identification. Officers detected an odor of alcohol on his breath and Young stated he had been drinking vodka at the bowling alley. Young attempted to walk past the officers, was stopped and told he could not leave because of the inaccurate identification.

After Young once again gave officers a different name, he was taken into custody. Young had to be subdued on the floor and remained irrational throughout booking process, police said.
