Stolen Laptops

Two Lenovo laptops were reported stolen from Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital on the 3800 block of Highland Avenue. During a recent computer inventory, a hospital employee noticed the laptops had not been logged onto since July 31. The computers were entered into the Law Enforcement Agencies Data System as stolen. They are worth $1,000 each, according to a police report.

The laptops were described as spare laptops that have no patient or critical information, police said. At this time, there is no direct connection between the missing Good Samaritan laptops and the four computers that were stolen July 15 from an Advocate Medical Group administration building in Park Ridge. The computers included the personal information of some four million patients, according to media reports.
