Suspicious Man Walks into Dance Dressing Room, Leaves Minutes Later

Possession of Controlled Substance, Battery among reports.

The following incidents and arrests were reported by the Downers Grove Police Department:

Suspicious Incident

An instructor at the Midwest Ballet Academy on Fairview told officers on January 17 around 6 p.m. that a white male approximately 6' tall wearing a bright blue winter hat and dark winter clothes entered her business, stood in the entryway for a minute before entering the dressing room for 2-3 minutes, closing the door behind him. The instructor did not approach the man or speak with him, and the man left before police arrived. Nothing in the dressing room appeared to be missing or rifled through.

Battery

Police responded to a call rom Ballydoyle on Main around 1:35 a.m. concerning a fight that had taken place inside the bar on January 7.

Burglary From Motor Vehicle

Cash and credit cards were stolen from a car parked in the Woman's Workout World lot on 63rd Street on January 16 between 8:10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.. The owner realized her cards were stolen when she received a text message from her bank asking if she was attempting to make a $2,600 purchase with her debit card.

Traffic Complaint

Officers responded to a call on January 16 from a complainant who stated her car had been “t-boned” by another driver, which she began to follow until the driver eventually pulled in a residential driveway. Officers went to the location and Suzanne Mazur, 49 of 5927 Brookbank in Downers Grove, was charged with driving on a suspended license and also given a citation for disobeying a stop sign.

Possession of Controlled Substance

A traffic stop on January 14 resulted in Robyn Davis, 44 of 549 Maple Ave in Lisle, being charged with two felony counts of possession of controlled substance and unlawful possession of cannabis over 30 grams. Davis was also cited for not wearing a seatbelt and ultimately transported to DuPage County Jail. During the stop, officers found approximately 115 grams of marijuana and one white rock-like substance.
