TUESDAY, SEPT. 11

Car Burglary on Winthrop Way

A car was burglarized in the 7300 block of Winthrop Way sometime between 7:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., police said. A cell phone was stolen from the center armrest.

DUI

Raymond J. Burke, of the 2700 block of Hobson Road in Woodridge, was arrested around 7:10 p.m. in the 6200 block of Main Street, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He was issued an Oct. 17 court date.

MONDAY, SEPT. 10

DUI

Marcal L. Thomas, of the 800 block of Foxworth Boulevard in Lombard, was arrested around 12:11 a.m. in the 3400 block of Highland Avenue, police said. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. She was issued an Oct. 10 court date.

Car Burglary on Blackburn

A car was burglarized in the 7400 block of Blackburn Avenue sometime between 2 p.m. on Sept. 11 and 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 12, police said. The driver's side door and glove box were both open, but nothing was reported missing.

Theft at Posh Kids Etc.

A store sign was taken from the front of Posh Kids Etc., 5116 Main St., sometime between 5 p.m. on Sept. 8 and 5 p.m. on Sept. 10, police said. The sign is valued at about $800.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 9

DUI

Edmundo Molino, of the 6500 block of Puffer Road in Downers Grove, was arrested around 3:34 a.m. in the 6200 block of Belmont Road, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper use of a turn signal. He was issued an Oct. 10 court date.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 8 

Deceptive Practices

Police were called to Portillos, 1500 Butterfield Road, around 10:18 a.m. on Sept. 10 for a report of a "quick-change scam" totaling $240 that occurred around 9 p.m. on Sept. 8. 

According to the general manager, a cashier was "tricked out of money" by two offenders, who were observed on security camera surveillance footage, police said. The offenders were described as a male and female, both black and heavyset. No food was ordered or retreived throughout the duration of the incident, police said.

FRIDAY, SEPT. 7

DUI, Drug Possession

Jason Malkowski, of the 4900 block of Woodward Avenue in Downers Grove, was arrested around 11:06 p.m. in the 4900 block of Woodward Avenue, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued an Oct. 10 court date.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 6

Theft at X Sport Fitness

A wallet and keys were stolen from an unlocked locker in X Sport Fitness, 3200 Finley Road, between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., police said.

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 5

Theft at DGS

A teachers aide at Downers Grove South High School, 1436 Norfolk St., told police $35 cash was taken from her wallet, police said.
