Stolen cab fare

A cab driver reported three males and one female didn’t pay their $85 fare when he dropped them off at a building in the 4200 block of Saratoga Avenue just after midnight on August 26. The driver said he picked up the group in Wrigleyville and when they arrived in Downers Grove the woman tried to pay the fare three times by credit card but each time the card was declined. One of the males also attempted to pay by credit card but the charge would not go through due to a problem with the transmitter. The four then fled the cab and ran to the building's second floor. Police said the driver declined signing a complaint, he only wanted a report for information purposes.

Car damaged in driveway

The driver’s side mirror of a car was damaged in the driveway of a home in the 700 block of 67th Street between 10 p.m. August 26 and 8 a.m. August 27. Damage was estimated at $500.
