Purse stolen
A woman stated that her purse was stolen after she left it on a table at Rita's American Roadhouse, 1211 Butterfield Road, Downers Grove. In the purse were her wallet, phone, and car keys.

SATURDAY, OCT. 19
Theft from motor vehicle

Items were stolen from a vehicle on Fifth St. in Downers Grove on Oct. 19. The items included a laptop, suitcase, and clothing, which were obtained by smashing the vehicle's drivers side rear window.
iPhone 4 swiped
It was reported that an iPhone 4 was stolen Oct. 19 from a table at the YMCA on 59th Street in Downers Grove. A woman set it down on a table and when she looked away, it was gone.
FRIDAY, OCT. 18
Woman charged with DUI
A woman faces multiple charges after she was stopped on Butterfield Road early in the morning Oct. 18. Keri A. Black of Villa Park was charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, as well improper use of a turn signal.
Side mirror stolen
A side view mirror was reportedly stolen from the 1100 block of Saylor in Downers Grove during the night of Oct. 18.
THURSDAY, OCT. 17
Bicycle stolen
Someone entered an unlocked garage within the 4100 block of Main Street in Downers Grove and stole a bicycle. The bike's value was estimated at $200.
Trespassing at the tow yard
Adam R. Myers of Romeoville was charged Oct. 17 with battery and criminal trespass to real property after he refused to leave the tow yard at O'Hare towing on Wisconsin Ave. in Downers Grove. Employees at O'Hare said that Myers requested they locate his debit card in his towed car on the lot so he could pay fees. When they couldn't find it, he jumped the fence to find it himself. A scuffle ensued, and police were called.
