The following incidents and arrests were reported by the Downers Grove Police Department:

Battery

Anthony Campbell Jr, 20 of 22 Sunset Ave in Glen Ellyn, was arrested on April 3 around 3:30 a.m. at XSport Fitness on Finley for having a Failure to Appear—Battery warrant out of DuPage County. Campbell was arrested after calling the police following an altercation with another man over a $10 wager on a basketball game the two men participated in. Campbell said the other man asked if he'd want to put a $10 bet on their game, and when Campbell won, the other man refused to pay. The other man said he never accepted the bet. Campbell reportedly took the other man's cellphone and basketball as collateral, and Campbell said the other man inferred he would hurt Campbell's child so Campbell hit him. Campbell said when he headed to his car to leave the other man came at Campbell with a box cutter, so he called police. The other man said he grabbed a wrench to defend himself against Campbell. As police were investigating, they became aware of Campbell's warrant and arrested him.
