Verbal Dispute Ends in Underage Drinking Arrest: Police Blotter

Underage Drinking

Frederick Alamilla, 19, of the 500 block of Brookside Drive, Westmont, was charged with minor in possession of alcohol by consumption. Alamilla was arrested after police responded at about 12:10 a.m. Sept. 5 to a verbal dispute in a parking lot on the 2200 block of Prentiss Drive, according to a police report. An anonymous caller said there was a man and woman having a loud argument outside a building. Police arrived and separated them.

"Clearly Alamilla was highly intoxicated, in that he was staggering, slurring his words, had bloodshot and glassy eyes and there was a strong odor of alcohol about him," the police report for this incident said. "He admitted that he was intoxicated and advised that he wanted his clothing back from (the woman) so he could leave."

The woman agreed to give Alamilla his bag of clothing so he could leave. Then police took him into custody, charged him and released him on an I-bond.

Criminal Damage to Property

A man found that two separate window screens at his home had been slit with a knife or razor blade. The first slit was found at 2:35 p.m. Aug. 25 and the second was found at noon Aug. 2, according to a police report. The windows were locked and there was no entry to the home, but the man wanted the incident documented. It is not clear exactly when the screens were damaged, or if they were damaged at the same time. The total damage was estimated at $50.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 1

$350 Bike Stolen

Someone took a man's $350 blue and silver Trek bicycle from a driveway on the 6100 block of Lane Place. The man last saw his bike on the evening of Aug. 30, and then later noticed his bicycle was missing at 5:15 p.m. Sept. 1. He had no known suspects and has not seen any suspicious activity in the area.

FRIDAY, AUG. 30

Car Scratched

Someone scratched the front driver's side fender and driver door of a gray 2004 Chevy Impala. The incident occurred sometime between 3 p.m. Aug. 29 and 10:20 a.m. Aug. 30. The owner had no suspect information.
