Debbie Boyle, a candidate for state representative in the 81st District, has won the endorsement of the Illinois Liberty PAC.

The announcement was made by WLS-AM radio host Dan Proft and Patrick Hughes, the former Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, at Boyle’s Dec. 13 fundraiser at Shanahan’s of Woodridge.

“Deb impressed us with her poise, knowledge and commitment to represent taxpayers of District 81,” Hughes said. The Illinois Liberty PAC supports candidates for public office who embrace public policy rooted in the principles of liberty and free enterprise.

Boyle addressed her supporters with a call to action. “With the overwhelming endorsement of the Downers Grove Township Republican Organization, the group that knows both my and my opponent’s records the best, and now with the endorsement of the Illinois Liberty PAC, which looked hard at us both, it’s clear the tide is turning in favor of taxpayers and away from politics as usual.”

“This primary campaign offers a clear choice to voters,” Boyle said. “I believe in efficient and open government, fiscal responsibility, free markets and liberty, and I will never waiver. I will take your voice to Springfield so you are heard. I hold dear to my heart solid Republican values. During this campaign, we will be clearly informing voters of the distinct choice they have.”

Boyle, a lifelong resident of Downers Grove, is running for the Republican nomination in the newly created 81st House District, which includes parts of Darien, Downers Grove, Lisle, Naperville, Westmont, Woodridge and Bolingbrook. The primary election is set for March 20, 2012, with early voting from Feb. 27 through March 15.

Boyle, who currently serves as vice president of the Community High School District 99 Board of Education, is a registered nurse and clinical coordinator at a major regional hospital. She has been married for 24 years to husband Bryan Boyle and is the mother of two sons and one daughter. Her father, John Wander, is a former Downers Grove fire chief.
