The village of Downers Grove is looking to offer a parking permit for "reverse commuters" at its downtown garage, which would give the Metra riders a place to leave their car overnight so they can drive to work during in the morning, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The village is proposing a $130 permit for the second floor of the parking deck at Mochel Drive and Curtiss Street between 3 p.m. and 9 a.m. and is expecting to issue around 20 of the permits, according to the article.

The move could free up space overnight on the first level of the deck, which is where reverse commuters are currently paying $195 per quarter to park at but is meant "for people who live in the downtown business district," according to the Chicago Tribune.

The village of Downers Grove is expected to vote on the permit at its March 4 meeting, according to the article.
