On the Agenda: Village Council Meeting (2/14)

Tonight's meeting, in brief.

The will hold its council meeting tonight at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers inside Village Hall. Highlights from the meeting's proposed agenda:

•On the consent agenda, the council will likely approve a motion to award a professional services contract to Sam Schwartz Engineering of Hoffman Estates for preparation of an update to the Village's Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan. The $78,695.00 contract is funded entirely by a CMAP grant..

•On the active agenda, the council will vote on an ordinance to extend the deadline for its sign ordinance compliance two years from May 4, 2012 to May 5, 2014.

•In first read, an ordinance calling for an amendment to the turn restrictions currently in place at Main and Maple.

Sterling Road, Chicago Avenue to Grant Street - east side (Chicago Ave to Lincoln St), west side (Lincoln St to Grant St)

Grant Street, Lee Avenue to E. of Cornell Avenue – south side

Meadowlawn Avenue, Main Street to Washington Street – south side

62nd Place, Brookbank Road to Carpenter Street – south side

Middaugh Avenue, 60th Place to 62nd Street – east side
