Term Limit Question Passes by 4-1 Margin

Voters approve measure to limit Village Council, mayoral terms.

Downers Grove voters approved a binding referendum to limit mayoral and Village Council terms by a 4-to-1 margin.

The results paralleled those of last November's non-binding referendum on the same question:

Shall the following term limits be placed on the offices of Mayor and Commissioners for the Village of Downers Grove to be effective for officials elected at the April 5, 2011 Consolidated Election and all those elected thereafter?
