Mayor Tully, Police Chief Robert Porter and Fire Chief Jim Jackson recognized Village safety personnel for their dedication and excellence at the Village Council meeting on April 4, 2012. The attached video highlights the following:
- Mayor Tully proclaimed April 8-14, 2012, as Telecommunicators Week. Chief Porter expressed appreciation to all emergency dispatchers for a job that is consistently well done.
- Chief Jackson recognized Public Information/Education Coordinator Marsha Giesler for being named 2012 Fire and Life Safety Educator of the Year by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
- Chief Porter saluted the police department for earning national accreditation status from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), a very prestigious honor.
