Loyalty and love for one’s nation
To truly love God Islam requires one to love his nation. The Holy Quran, instructs the Muslims to ‘…obey those who are in authority over you …’ (4:60). While the Holy Prophet of Islam advocated that; ‘…Obedience to the law of the land is a part of faith.’ In extreme cases where there are prohibitive conditions for Muslims to practice their faith and possibly where they are persecuted because of their faith then Islam still holds fast to the principles of peace and advises Muslims to migrate from such places and move to other countries where they can practice their faith peacefully. This was the example of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of God be upon him) who was bitterly persecuted in Mecca for 13 years before he migrated to Medina.
Today members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community are brutally persecuted in Pakistan just because of their faith but they are holding this principle of loyalty to homeland firmly. Whatever area they work in, they are engaged to help the nation prosper.
In USA also, American Ahmadi Muslims are not behind in any way to show loyalty to this great nation. Whether it’s through Humanity First or ‘Muslims for life’ campaign’ we are busy in helping the victims of Natural disasters or donating blood to save mankind. Thus on 4th of July we American Ahmadi Muslims stand together with all our fellow Americans celebrating this day fully! Happy Birthday, America!
