D58 Seeks Feedback for Leadership Profile in Superintendent Search

D58 is looking for community involvement in its search for a new Superintendent.

From D58:

The Board of Education has launched its search for a new superintendent to replace Paul Zaander, who will retire at the end of the 2011-12 school year.

The Board of Education voted in October to retain the services of School Exec Connect to assist with the search process. This firm specializes in assisting boards seeking to hire superintendents. A very important early step in the search process is to identify the characteristics the Board of Education will be looking for in the new superintendent.

Community members are encouraged to participate in a leadership survey, which will be available on the District 58 website, www.dg58.org, through Wednesday, November 30. The feedback gained from the survey will assist the consultant and the board in creating a leadership profile for the search.

The board's goal is to conduct interviews in January and February and take action on the new superintendent's contract in March. He or she would assume duties on July 1, 2012.
