District 99 Administrative Compensation Increases 2%

The total compensation represents 1.4 percent in salary and .6 percent in benefits over the previous year.

The District 99 Board of Education approved a 2 percent increase in total administrative compensation for the 2011-2012 school year at last week's board meeting. 

That 2 percent includes an increase of 1.4 percent in salary and .6 percent in benefits over the previous year. For the 2010-2011 school year, the administrators took a voluntary pay freeze to meet the district's budget. 

“The Board values our hard-working administrative team, which is a lean one compared to other districts,” said District 99 Board President Bill White in a district release.

“The current financial health of District 99 has been achieved in large part due to this team’s ability to significantly reduce and control costs, including those related to transportation and facilities. We are in a strong position to maintain and grow programs for students as we head into the 2011-12 school year.”

According to the press release, "District 99 ranks in the bottom quartile, or 85 out of 101 high school districts in Illinois, in terms of administrative costs per student for fiscal year 2008-09..."
