District 99 Enrollment Numbers Slightly Up

Enrollment numbers projected to remain steady over next ten years.

District 99 enrollment numbers were slightly higher last year than in 2009-2010 and projections expect numbers to remain consistent over the next ten years.

The numbers, which were presented by assistant director for human resources Lisa Smith during Monday night's District 99 board meeting, show an overall enrollment increase of of 59 students.

Projections for the next ten years, compiled by outside consultant John Kasarda, expect enrollment numbers to fluctuate mildly from the 5,328 students enrolled last school. Despite slight fluctuations, the numbers are largely expected to remain consistent.

This round of projections from Kasarda follow a similar trajectory to the projections Kasarda made in 2006 for the district, albeit at a slightly higher starting enrollment.
