Service in the gathering area
Every fall, a procession of animals, everything from dogs and cats to hamsters and horses, is led to churches for a special ceremony called the Blessing of the Pes. This custom is conducted in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi’s love for all creatures.
All companion and service animals are welcome. Please be sure that any pets are caged or leashed as appropriate. We hold the service in the gathering area so its convenient for an “outside break”.
