Kingsley PTA Asks Former Students To Write Teachers Letters of Appreciation

In honor of Kingsley's 50th anniversary, former students are asked to write letters of appreciation to their favorite teachers.

Kingsley Elementary School is celebrating 50 years. In honor of its half-century mark, the school's PTA planning committee for Teacher Appreciation Week would like to surprise current teachers with a thank-you note from a former student.

Former students are invited to submit letters of appreciation by April 23 for Teachers Appreciation Week next month. Perhaps it was a teacher that spent extra time with you or child after school, offered an encouraging word that set you on your current occupational path, or maybe you’re a fifth-grade student that would like to thank your kindergarten teacher just for being nice.

Letters of appreciation are also being accepted for administrative, cafeteria and custodial staff. Visit the school website for a list of faculty and staff.

Former students may also write letters thanking their teachers at other Dist. 58 schools.

You can mail or hand-deliver your note to Kingsley Elementary School, 6509 Powell Ave., Downers Gove, 60516. Please write: ATTN: PTA TAW on the envelope.
