will be holding its second annual "Running of the Leopards" 1K/5K run this Sunday at Lester School. Day-of registration is from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., with the 1K Kids Dash starting at 9 a.m. and the 5K at 9:30 a.m.. Entry fees for this fundraiser are $20 for adults, $10 for children, and an additional $5 for registering day-of.
Free food and music will be provided after the race, and some of the new features of this year's event are:
- Local All Star Sports Coach and DJ Josh Porter will help emcee the event
- Mayor Martin Tully will be at the event
- Rock Academy will be performing
- Fit Girls - a group of Lester 4th and 5th grade girls that have been participating in a national Fit Kids program to promote healthy body image and train for the 5K
