South E-Blast Reports Threatening Messages

Principal Bild says the incident has been resolved.

South High Principal Stephan Bild sent out an e-blast Monday afternoon informing residents that "a threatening message" had been written on a bathroom wall earlier in the day, and assuring them that the matter has been resolved.

"The threat was written out of anger and aimed specifically at two students while referring to the upcoming school dance this weekend," Bild wrote. South's homecoming dance is scheduled for 7:30 to 10 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 25.

The school's deans and resource officers identified the threat's author, who admitted the action and "has received consequences," Bild wrote.
