Vote for Downers Grove North Viral Video on ABC 7 Chicago
The DGN Fine Arts Department recently created lip-dub video to "It's Always a Good Time" by Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen. Voting will be open online until 6 p.m. Sunday.
A lip-dub video created by the Downers Grove North High School Fine Arts Department has been chosen as a finalist in ABC 7 Chicago's "Show Us Your Spirit!" contest.
ABC has been collecting spirit-filled viral videos from high schools across the suburbs all week for the contest. Voting for the best video is open until 6 p.m. Sunday on ABC's website.
Earlier this fall, DGN Fine Arts Chair Brayer Teague enlisted the help of dozens of students and faculty members to create a lip-dub video to "It's Always a Good Time" by Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen.

The video was designed to showcase the department, and inform students of the various music and art classes available at the school.
“Our faculty is continually energized by the creativity, imagination and enthusiasm of the students at North High," Teague said. "We hope our video captures the excitement about the arts that we witness every day in the classroom.”

Since it was posted Nov. 5, the video has gained more than 8,000 hits on YouTube.
ABC will announce the winner of the contest Monday morning.
