When and how did your business get started?

The business was there, but closing. I purchased the fixtures and the name from the former owner. I had retired from elected office and from part-time work at a bank, and very much missed interacting people every day.

What is your business best known for?

We are the largest independent scrapbooking and card-making store in the region. We have an astonishing array of custom-printed papers and custom-cut die cuts and embellishments. We have almost everything that is in the marketplace for travel destinations - both U.S. and world-wide.

People enjoy remembering their heritage, making scrapbooks of their travels, and the kids make their "state" and "country" projects using materials from our store. We have a HUGE Disney section, and lots of sports things, too.

Why did you choose the town you did to open your business? 

Already there, but if it had been in a different town I would have not been quite so eager to jump in and do it. Benefit to my guests - close proximity to 75th Street exit on I-355, and not very far from Illinois Route 83.

What's something interesting about your business your customers might not know?

We have the largest collection of Accu-cut dies in the Midwest, and two large Grande-Mark die cutting machines. IF YOU BUY your paper from us, you may use the dies and machines for FREE! Paper purchsed elsewhere can be cut for a fee. ALL of our staff members are scrappers & card-makers, so are willing and eager to help, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned "pro" just looking for ideas!

Does your business offer a special deals card or program?

We have a "crop" every Friday and Saturday night. Cost is $15 per person: guaranteed your own FULL table, snacks, beverages, desserts...crop 'til midnight. Paid croppers receive a 20 percent discount on merchandise purchased during the crop. Reservations must be secured in advance via credit card (or cash)!
