Metra Expands Seating, Service for Chicago Air & Water Show

You can still catch the Chicago Air & Water Show's second and final performance from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today, Sunday.

North Avenue Beach is the hot spot this weekend as the site of the Chicago Air & Water Show. All weekend, planes are filling the skies with aircraft aerobatics and boating fanatics are filling the lake.

The show, which was held Saturday, will be repeated from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today, Sunday. It’s a free event. The main attractions at the show include the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, U.S. Army Parachute Team Golden Knights and the U.S. Navy Parachute Team Leap Frogs.

Metra is offering additional passenger service to accommodate those heading downtown for the event. Trains have expanded seating and there will be outbound express trains to Downers Grove, according to Metra.
