A water main break on Maple Avenue has closed a portion of the road Friday evening, from Main to Carpenter streets.
Lane Place will also be closed at Maple Avenue.
The main broke Friday afternoon near 1114 Maple Ave., affecting about nine homes in the area. Public works are repairing the leak.
The road is expected to reopen around 10 p.m., according to Stan Balicki, Assistant Director of Public Works for Operations.
