Downtown Downers Grove Hosts Annual Girls' Night Out
Nearly two dozen downtown shops and restaurants will offer specials and discounts for women on Thursday.
Local women are invited to grab their girlfriends and enjoy a night of shopping and dining in downtown Downers Grove on Thursday.
The Downtown Downers Grove Management Corporation's annual "Girls Night Out" will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at various businesses in the downtown area.
Participating restaurants include Gatto's, Bello Tea, Ballydoyle, Lemon Tree and Scarletti's. Discounts will be offered at several stores, including Avec Panache, Charlie and Grace, Gabby's Gifts, Evelyn Jane Boutique, Gallery's Choice, Louisa's and Millie's Chocolates, Jeans and a Cute Top Shop, She's Boutique, Max Logan's Home Accents, Jolie Boutique, Verizon Wireless, the Olive Tap and more.

Guests are invited to stop by the registration desk at the Downtown Management Corporation office, 933A Curtiss St., to pick up a swag bag filled with coupons and other gifts from participating vendors. Bags will be available from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., or until they are gone.

Downtown Downers Grove Market: The Downtown Downers Grove Market is held every Saturday from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., through Oct. 19. The market, located in the Main Street Metra Station's south parking lot, features a variety of produce, fresh bread and pastries, coffees and other specialty foods. Illinois Walk-Run-N-Roll Campaign: The first Illinois Walk-Run-N-Roll for the Transverse Myelitis Association (TMA) will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday at McCollum Park, 6801 S. Main St. Proceeds will benefit TMA's research and service programs for people with AAcute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis (ADEM), Neuromyelitis Optica (NMO), Optic Neuritis (ON), Transverse Myelitis (TM) and Recurrent Transverse Myelitis.
