Trunk or Treat at Faith United Methodist Church

Kids are invited to wear their Halloween costumes and trick-or-treat in the church parking lot, where cars will be lined up with trunks full of candy.

The community is invited to Faith United Methodist Church's annual Trunk or Treat event from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31.

Village Trick-or-Treating: The Village of Downers Grove does not have mandated hours for trick-or-treating, but the police department recommends that activity cease when daylight hours end. Curfew prohibits anyone under the age of 17 to be on the street after 11 p.m. on weeknights, according to the village officials.

Indian Boundary YMCA Gala: The fifth annual Indian Boundary YMCA Gala is set for 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at Bobak’s Signature Events & Conference Center, 6440 Double Eagle Drive, Woodridge. A Notable Celebration of the Arts: The Downers Grove Music Club is hosting a benefit concert, reception and auction to support the student music awards at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at First Congregational Church, 1047 Curtiss St., Downers Grove. This annual award program recognizes talented high school musicians with monetary awards for the continuation of their musical studies. Tickets are available to purchase online at http://downersgrovemusicclub.org/. Tickets are $25 for adults. Those 18 and younger are free when accompanied by an adult.
