Kids are invited to wear their Halloween costumes and trick-or-treat in the church parking lot, where cars will be lined up with trunks full of candy. Hot dogs and hot cocoa will be provided for free.

Also this week:Village Trick-or-Treating: The Village of Downers Grove does not have mandated hours for trick-or-treating, but the police department recommends that activity cease when daylight hours end. Curfew prohibits anyone under the age of 17 to be on the street after 11 p.m. on weeknights, according to the village officials.

This annual award program recognizes talented high school musicians with monetary awards for the continuation of their musical studies.
